Men lined up for PSA tests, shared hard-earned stories and walked together at Compton College on September 19, 2026.

Now the team behind the 7th Annual Prostate Cancer Awareness Walk & Talk is saying thank you to everyone who made it happen.

Organized by The Lyrical Revolution, the event was about far more than a walk.

Its mission was saving lives through education and early detection, and creating a space where men could finally talk openly about a disease too many have been uncomfortable discussing.

Organizers gave special thanks to St. John's Community Health, whose medical van stayed busy all day offering PSA testing and screening information.

Every test, they say, stood for something bigger than a number: a man taking responsibility for his health and a family that might gain more years together.

A highlight of the day was an in-depth men's conversation featuring Willard Pugh, Dr. Homie, Freddie Muse, Bryant Crooks and Alonzo "Lonzo" Williams.

The panel spoke candidly about their experiences, treatment choices, concerns and lessons learned.

Sometimes hearing another man's story is what finally gets someone to book a test.

The team also thanked sponsors, community partners and the volunteers who handled setup, registration, photography, outreach, food, transportation and cleanup behind the scenes.

Compton College earned praise for hosting a setting where health, education and fellowship came together.

Founder and prostate cancer survivor Lonzo Williams started this effort seven years ago to make prostate cancer something men could talk about openly.

Organizers say prostate cancer awareness cannot stop when the walk ends.

They are asking everyone to keep the conversation going in families, churches, fraternities, businesses and neighborhoods.

The simplest step is one question to the men in your life: have you had your PSA checked?

That question could save a life.
